Portland Health Club Incident: Vehicle Crash Leads to Fatality and Discovery of Explosive Device
In Portland, Oregon, a tragic incident occurred early Saturday morning when a vehicle crashed into the Multnomah Athletic Club, resulting in one fatality. The crash, which happened shortly before 3 a.m., led to a fire that was subsequently contained by local authorities. Upon investigation, evidence of an explosive device was discovered within the vehicle. The Multnomah Athletic Club, known as the largest private athletic and social club in the U.S., was closed at the time of the incident, ensuring no club members or staff were harmed. The Portland Police Bureau is leading the investigation, with assistance from special agents of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
