Togo, Benin, and Senegal Implement Free Roaming Agreements to Enhance Connectivity
Togo, Benin, and Senegal have launched free roaming services, marking the implementation of bilateral agreements signed on the sidelines of the ARTAO 23rd annual general assembly. These agreements, signed in December 2025, aim to harmonize roaming policies within the West Africa Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA). The agreements regulate international and local call rates, as well as mobile data, with caps to prevent excessive charges. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance connectivity and reduce communication costs for citizens traveling between these countries.
