Jolt.film has secured all North American distribution rights for the true-crime documentary 'I Got Bombed at Harvey's'. The film, which premiered at SXSW, recounts the 1980 Harvey's Resort Hotel bombing in Lake Tahoe, a case involving a sophisticated time bomb, a $3 million ransom demand, and a major FBI investigation. Directed by Amy Bandlien Storkel and Bryan Storkel, the documentary delves into the events where a 1,000-pound dynamite bomb was wheeled into the casino, leading to a tense standoff as bomb technicians attempted to disarm it and the FBI pursued the extortionists. The film incorporates archival footage, firsthand interviews, and investigative storytelling to bring the historical event to life. Executive producers include Chris Smith, Andrew Corkin, Howard T. Owens, Ben Silverman, Drew Buckley, and Isabel San Vargas for Propagate Content, among others.
