Estonian Authorities Detain 32 Migrants Amid Latvia-Belarus Border Tensions
Estonia's Police and Border Guard Board (PPA) has detained 32 migrants in Tallinn, linked to a surge in illegal immigration at the Latvia-Belarus border. The migrants, lacking identity documents, were apprehended in various locations across the city. This development is part of a broader 'hybrid attack' by the Belarusian regime, affecting Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Finland. Latvia has reported over 8,000 border crossing attempts this year, prompting assistance from Lithuanian and Estonian border guards. The detained migrants reportedly entered Estonia from Belarus via Latvia, intending to travel through Finland to Western Europe.
