Higher Education Institutions Enhance AI Literacy for K-12 Education
Higher education institutions are playing a pivotal role in enhancing AI literacy among K-12 educators and students. Stanford University, through its AI Hub for Education, collaborates with school districts and policymakers to leverage research and data for improving educational practices. The University of South Florida (USF) offers a summer intensive program to expose high school students to AI, focusing on technical, evaluative, practical, and ethical aspects. This initiative aims to build a strong foundation in AI literacy, preparing students for future technological challenges. The program also emphasizes collaboration and problem-solving, with faculty from USF's Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Computing leading the curriculum development.
