Fatal Chairlift Accident at Mt. Hood Skibowl Under Investigation
A tragic incident occurred at Mt. Hood Skibowl in Oregon, where a maintenance basket fell from a chairlift, resulting in the death of one worker and injuries to another. The accident happened around 9:30 a.m., prompting a response from multiple agencies, including Hoodland Fire and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The injured worker was airlifted to Oregon Health & Science University for treatment, while the deceased worker's identity is pending family notification. The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has been notified and is conducting a fatality-related inspection.
