Michael Strahan Reveals Pete Davidson's 9/11 Connection in Upcoming Documentary
Michael Strahan, during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' shared a previously unknown connection with comedian Pete Davidson. Strahan revealed that Davidson was one of the children who joined New York Giants players on the field during the team's first game back at Giants Stadium after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Davidson's father, Scott Matthew Davidson, a New York City firefighter, died while responding to the attacks when Pete was seven years old. This 'full circle moment' will be featured in Strahan's upcoming documentary, '9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later,' which focuses on how sports, entertainment, comedy, music, and Broadway helped people heal after the tragedy. Strahan expressed his affection for Davidson, stating, 'Pete is like a little brother to me now. I absolutely love him. He’s such a gentle soul.'
