Singapore Invites Proposals for Autonomous Container Feeder Vessel Solutions
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and PSA Singapore have issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) to develop and test autonomous inter-gateway container feeder vessel operations. These vessels are crucial for moving containers between terminals within the Port of Singapore. The initiative aims to explore autonomous technologies to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability in port operations. The EOI includes plans for a remote operations center to integrate vessel sensor data and port traffic information for real-time monitoring. Proposals must address navigational safety, traffic management, and cybersecurity, among other considerations.
