New Lithium Extraction Models Enhance Sustainable Resource Management
Researchers have developed dynamic mining models using the DPSIRM framework and variable weighting to assess ecological risks associated with lithium extraction. This innovative approach aims to balance the growing demand for lithium, driven by the renewable energy sector, with environmental protection. The study, conducted in the Huaqiao Township mining region, highlights a 'V-shaped' trend in ecological security, with initial improvements followed by recent declines. The model integrates various indicators, such as vegetation cover and soil moisture, to provide a comprehensive assessment of mining impacts, offering a more adaptive and precise method for environmental monitoring.
