Chicago Jazz Festival and Classical Music Events Highlight Summer 2026
Chicago is set to host a vibrant lineup of jazz and classical music events throughout the summer of 2026. The Chicago Jazz Festival will take place at Millennium Park from September 3 to September 6, featuring renowned artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Robert Glasper, and the Miles Electric Band. Additionally, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will present a series of performances, including collaborations with Jazz at Lincoln Center and conductor Marin Alsop. Other highlights include the Opera Festival of Chicago, running from June 26 to July 3, and the Grant Park Music Festival, showcasing Gabriela Lena Frank’s 'Conquest Requiem' on June 12 and 13. These events celebrate significant anniversaries, including the centennials of Miles Davis and John Coltrane, as well as America250.
