Bay Area Kicks Off June with Warmest Day of the Week
The Bay Area is set to experience its warmest day of the week on Monday, June 1, 2026, as weak high pressure builds over Northern California. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, temperatures will rise significantly compared to the cooler, unsettled weather seen at the end of May. Inland areas such as San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View are expected to reach the low to mid-80s°F (27-29°C), while Morgan Hill and Gilroy may approach 90°F (32°C). Coastal regions like Santa Cruz will remain milder, with highs in the upper 70s°F (25°C). The Pacific Coast and Peninsula will start the day with patchy low clouds and fog, but improved clearing is anticipated by the afternoon. Temperatures in Pacifica and Half Moon Bay will peak in the mid-60s°F (18°C), while Redwood City could reach the low 80s°F (27°C). Overnight lows across the region will drop into the 50s°F (10-15°C).
