Israel to Resume Operations at Karish Gas Platform Following Ceasefire
The Israeli Energy Ministry has announced the resumption of operations at the Karish offshore natural gas platform, following a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. The platform, located off Israel's Mediterranean coast, had been closed since February 28 due to safety concerns amid the conflict. Energean, the company operating the platform, has received approval to restart production and resume normal operations. The reopening of Karish is part of broader efforts to stabilize energy supplies in the region, as Israel's Leviathan gas field also recently resumed operations after a shutdown.
