Delta Investigates Unauthorized Wi-Fi Network on Flight Post-Hacker Event
Delta Air Lines is investigating an unauthorized Wi-Fi network that was activated on a flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta. This incident occurred shortly after a major cybersecurity conference, DEF CON, was held in Las Vegas. The network was active for a short period, prompting the flight crew to deactivate the aircraft's Wi-Fi for about 30 minutes. Delta has confirmed that there was no hack of any Delta system, and the safety of the flight was never in question. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Aviation Administration are involved in the investigation.
