Nikkiso to Supply Pumps for Germany's Largest LNG Import Terminal, Enhancing European Energy Infrastructure
Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases has secured a contract to supply pumps for Germany's largest land-based LNG import terminal, the Stade terminal. This project, developed by Hanseatic Energy Hub, aims to bolster Europe's gas import infrastructure. Nikkiso will provide nearly 30 submerged motor pumps for the terminal, which will feature two large LNG storage tanks. The facility is set to begin operations in 2029, initially supporting LNG, BioLNG, and synthetic natural gas, with plans to incorporate ammonia handling in the future. The contract was awarded by engineering firm Técnicas Reunidas, with equipment delivery expected in 2026.
