Severe Storms Expected in North Texas on Monday and Tuesday
North Texas is bracing for severe weather as First Alert Weather Days have been declared for Monday and Tuesday. According to CBS News, Sunday will remain hot, breezy, and cloudy, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s to low 90s by 5 PM. Due to high atmospheric moisture, the heat index could feel closer to 100°F (38°C). While most of the region is expected to stay dry on Sunday, there is a slight chance of isolated storms in the late afternoon. The weather pattern is expected to shift significantly starting Monday, with a dryline and shortwave creating conditions for isolated strong storms. These storms are conditional, depending on whether they can overcome a capping inversion. Tuesday will bring a cold front, increasing the likelihood of scattered severe storms across the area.
