Neurava Secures $4 Million NIH Award to Develop SUDEP Risk Stratification Algorithm
Neurava Inc., a medtech startup, has been awarded a $4 million NIH Blueprint MedTech Optimizer award to develop a Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) risk stratification algorithm. This funding will support the development and validation of a quantitative risk assessment platform that integrates multimodal physiological signals, such as seizure activity, cardiac function, and respiratory function. The goal is to advance this technology to first-in-human clinical trials, providing clinicians with objective insights to better understand and mitigate SUDEP risk.
