American Mother Faces Life-Threatening Emergency After Spider Bites
Britagne Miller, a mother of four from Kansas, experienced a life-threatening medical emergency after being bitten multiple times by a spider. The incident occurred in late May while she was at Cheney Lake with her family. Initially dismissing the bites, Miller's condition worsened, leading to severe swelling and pain. She was admitted to Wesley Medical Centre in Wichita, where doctors discovered a large hematoma on her leg, necessitating emergency surgery. Complications arose due to her pre-existing end-stage liver disease, and she developed severe infections, including sepsis. Despite being given a grim prognosis, Miller is determined to recover, facing a long road ahead with extensive medical care and rehabilitation.
