TRexBio Announces Positive Phase 1a Results for TRB-061 in Atopic Dermatitis Treatment
TRexBio, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company, has announced positive unblinded topline results from the first-in-human Phase 1a portion of its ongoing Phase 1a/b clinical trial for TRB-061. TRB-061 is an investigational TNFR2 agonist being developed for immune-mediated diseases, with an initial focus on atopic dermatitis. The Phase 1a study, conducted in healthy adult participants, evaluated the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD) of subcutaneously delivered TRB-061. Results showed that TRB-061 was generally well tolerated across all dose levels, with no treatment-related serious adverse events or dose-limiting toxicities. The study also demonstrated consistent pharmacokinetics and reproducible activation and expansion of immunoregulatory T cells (Tregs), including CD39-positive Tregs, and induction of key immunoregulatory biomarkers like IL-10 and CCR8. These findings support the proof of mechanism for TRB-061 and have informed dose selection for the ongoing Pha...
