Former Michigan Coach Sherrone Moore Sentenced to 18 Months Probation for Telecommunications and Trespassing Charges
Former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has been sentenced to 18 months of probation following a plea agreement in 14-A District Court in Ann Arbor. Moore faced charges of malicious use of a telecommunications device and trespassing, which stemmed from an incident in December 2025. During this incident, Moore confronted Paige Shiver, a former staff member with whom he had an affair. Initially, Moore was charged with a felony count of home invasion, but the plea agreement resulted in the dismissal of the original stalking charges. The court's decision did not include jail time but imposed fines and a prohibition on any contact with Shiver. The judge in the case emphasized the inappropriateness of Moore's actions and warned of severe consequences should he violate the terms of his probation.
