New York Invests $50 Million in Clean Energy Workforce Development
New York State has announced a $50 million investment to expand its clean energy workforce programs. This funding aims to train workers in energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors, supporting the state's transition to sustainable energy. The initiative is part of a larger $320 million effort to develop a skilled labor force for the clean energy industry. The programs will focus on training individuals from disadvantaged communities, with funding allocated to various projects through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). Governor Kathy Hochul emphasized the state's commitment to leading the nation's clean energy progress.
