Nolan Wells Laid to Rest as Family and Community Seek Answers
Nolan Wells, an 18-year-old college athlete from Mississippi, was laid to rest in a closed-casket funeral attended by notable figures such as director Spike Lee and former NFL star Terrell Owens. The funeral took place at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, following Wells' mysterious death during a July 4 boating trip. His mother, Christine Wonsley, expressed her grief and determination to seek the truth about her son's death. The family, supported by civil rights lawyer Ben Crump, is conducting its own investigation due to perceived inconsistencies in the accounts of Wells' friends. The local police have not found evidence of foul play but are awaiting autopsy results.
