Orkin Identifies Florida Cities in Latest Bed Bug Infestation Rankings
Orkin, a pest control company, has released its annual list of 'bed bug cities' in the United States, highlighting areas with the highest number of bed bug treatments conducted from May 2025 to May 2026. This year, Florida cities such as Tampa and Miami have been included in the rankings, with Tampa making its debut at number 46 and Miami dropping six spots to number 47. The list is particularly relevant as summer travel increases, raising awareness about the potential for bed bugs to hitchhike in luggage and personal items from hotels and short-term rentals. Orkin emphasizes the importance of vigilance during travel to prevent bringing these pests home.
