Shirley Ann Self Remembered in Obituary at Memorial Park Funeral Homes
Shirley Ann Self, aged 88, passed away on May 8, 2026, at her home in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Born on May 31, 1937, in Griffin, Georgia, to I.H Peeples and Susie Frances Thomas, she was a retired school bus driver for Gwinnett County Schools. Shirley is survived by her children, Kelvin and Kenneth Thacker, and Karen Bonora, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings. Funeral services are scheduled for May 14, 2026, at Memorial Park South Chapel in Flowery Branch, Georgia, with visitation preceding the service.
