Eastern Oregon University Wins Award for AI and Agriculture Program
Eastern Oregon University's (EOU) AI + AG program has received first place at the 14th annual Oregon Ag Fest Agricultural Education Awards. The program, designed by Elaine Swanson, focuses on integrating artificial intelligence with agricultural education to provide rural students with access to emerging technologies. The award, which includes a $2,000 prize, recognizes efforts to enhance agricultural education and public understanding of Oregon agriculture. The AI + AG program has engaged nearly 500 students and over 70 teachers in hands-on labs, teaching them to use AI and satellite data for crop monitoring and water management.
