Premier Health CEO Mike Riordan Announces Retirement, Initiates Search for Successor
Premier Health, a major healthcare provider based in Dayton, Ohio, has announced the upcoming retirement of its current president and CEO, Mike Riordan. Riordan, who was appointed in 2022 as the first external candidate to lead the organization, will step down in the first quarter of 2027. Under his leadership, Premier Health has expanded its operations across Southwest Ohio, including Miami Valley Hospital, Atrium Medical Center, and Upper Valley Medical Center, along with over 130 outpatient and physician locations. The health system has also enhanced its academic mission and community health initiatives. The Premier Health Board of Trustees, led by chair Jill Wilson, has expressed gratitude for Riordan's contributions. A national search for his successor will be conducted, with Jason Mahoney chairing the search committee.
