Former Employees of UK Law Firm BLB Solicitors Pursue Legal Action Over Redundancies
Former employees of BLB Solicitors, a UK-based law firm that recently entered administration, are pursuing legal action regarding the handling of their redundancies. The firm, which provided services in commercial property, family law, and more, closed abruptly, leaving around 90 employees without jobs. PA Claim UK, a legal representative, has been instructed by approximately nine or ten former employees to seek a Protective Award, a compensation granted when an employer fails to properly consult staff before making 20 or more redundancies. The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) intervened in the firm's closure, appointing a solicitor to manage its affairs. The SRA's intervention means the firm has ceased operations, and all documents and funds are now under the SRA's control.
