Cocoa Season Launch in Cameroon Focuses on Fair Remuneration for Farmers
The 2026/2027 Cocoa Season in Cameroon was officially launched with a focus on fair remuneration for cocoa farmers. The National Forum on Cocoa Farmer Remuneration, held in Yaoundé, brought together government officials, industry leaders, and stakeholders to discuss strategies for improving farmers' incomes. The forum, chaired by H.E. Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, Minister of Trade, addressed issues such as global cocoa price volatility, sustainability requirements, and the European Union Deforestation Regulation. Participants emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to value distribution in the cocoa sector.
