Baltimore Hosts 44th Annual Artscape Festival, Attracting Over 100,000 Attendees
Baltimore recently hosted the 44th annual Artscape, America's largest free outdoor arts festival, during Memorial Day weekend. The event attracted over 100,000 attendees and featured Grammy-winner Stephanie Mills and iconic hip-hop group The Roots as headliners. The festival included industry panels and talkbacks with notable figures such as Emmy-nominated makeup artist Ngozi Olandu Young and NAACP award-winning actor Tyler Lepley. Other highlights included a film festival, artisan market, and various art prizes. Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott praised the festival's dynamic nature and its impact on the local arts scene. The festival also featured after-parties called Artscape: After Dark, with performances by local artists.
