Amnesty International Launches Virtual Museum Documenting Six Decades of Human Rights Activism
Amnesty International has unveiled its first Virtual Museum, titled 'Stories That Resist,' offering an immersive 360-degree experience that chronicles 65 years of its global human rights campaigning, research, and collective action. The museum features five thematic galleries containing over 50 historical items, including artifacts from Amnesty International's archives, significant campaign materials, photographs, videos, awards, and personal testimonies. Among the highlights are details about the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the organization in 1977 for its contributions to human rights defense, and profiles of individuals and movements honored with the Ambassador of Conscience Award, such as Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, Ai Weiwei, Alicia Keys, Greta Thunberg, and the Fridays for Future movement.
