Cline Proposes Bill to Support Entrepreneurship Among Military Veterans
U.S. Representative Ben Cline has introduced the Veterans Entrepreneurship Act of 2026, aimed at supporting military veterans in starting or acquiring businesses. The proposed legislation, H.R. 10016, seeks to establish a three-year pilot program under the Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide grants to up to 250 veterans eligible for GI Bill benefits. These grants would be equivalent to the maximum amount of 36 months of educational assistance under the GI Bill. The program would require veterans to participate in an approved entrepreneurial training program and develop a business plan, which must be approved by their training advisor and the SBA's associate administrator for Veterans Business Development.
