Emirates President Urges Supply Chain Manufacturers to Establish Operations in Dubai
Emirates President Tim Clark has called on airline supply chain manufacturers to consider setting up operations in Dubai to alleviate production bottlenecks. Speaking at an industry event, Clark suggested that major companies should acquire some of their suppliers to ensure a steady supply of components. He highlighted Dubai's readiness to support such initiatives, with the government willing to invest in infrastructure and lease it to manufacturers. Clark emphasized that production levels in Dubai could surpass those in Western countries due to the emirate's 24/7 operational capabilities. However, he acknowledged the geopolitical risks associated with establishing factories in Dubai, given the ongoing conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran.
