Anonymous Donor Funds Meals at McDonald's in Haverhill, Massachusetts
In Haverhill, Massachusetts, an anonymous man walked into a McDonald's on Main Street and handed a cashier a significant amount of cash, instructing her to use it to pay for meals until the money ran out. The staff initially hesitated, suspecting the money might be counterfeit, but after verification by the Haverhill Police Department, the cash was confirmed to be legitimate. Christine Yee, the franchise owner, decided to organize a 'Random Act of Kindness Day' using the funds. During the event, 356 meals were given away for free. The gesture was unprecedented according to McDonald's corporate headquarters, which had never encountered such a generous act before.
