ICE Arrests Illegal Migrant After Fatal Arizona Crash Involving Daughter
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested Brenda Liliana Rivera-Estrada, an illegal immigrant, following a fatal car crash in Arizona that resulted in the death of her 9-year-old daughter. Rivera-Estrada, a Mexican national, was allegedly impaired during the crash, which also injured three other children. She faces multiple felony charges related to manslaughter and child abuse. Despite being released from local custody, she was taken into ICE custody on an immigration detainer. Rivera-Estrada had entered the U.S. legally in 2009 but overstayed her visa, violating federal immigration law.
