Digicel PNG to Deploy 4G Services in Rural Papua New Guinea, Enhancing Digital Access
Digicel PNG has signed an agreement with Papua New Guinea’s National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) to deploy 4G services in rural areas. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide by providing access to digital services such as education, healthcare, and financial services. The rollout will cover underserved regions including Oro, Gulf, Morobe, Bougainville, and Southern Highlands. The agreement, facilitated by the National Procurement Commission Board, underscores the importance of public-private collaboration in advancing digital transformation in Papua New Guinea.
