Rolls-Royce Advances Production of SSN AUKUS Nuclear Reactors
Rolls-Royce Submarines is progressing with the production of its PWR3+ nuclear reactors for SSN AUKUS submarines. Seven reactors are currently being built, and the company has completed a critical design review. Rolls-Royce has expanded its manufacturing space to meet demand from the UK and Australia. The reactors are part of a trilateral partnership to provide Australia with at least three units and Britain with 12 boats. The company is also tasked with powering the UK Royal Navy's Dreadnought-class submarines.
