New York has been identified as the fifth-most fun state in America, according to a recent study by WalletHub. The state achieved an overall score of 58.40, reflecting its high accessibility to a diverse range of activities and attractions. Specifically, New York secured the No. 4 position for entertainment and recreation and the No. 3 spot for nightlife. The WalletHub analysis considered 26 indicators of cost-efficient and enjoyable activities across all 50 states. These indicators ranged from movie costs and accessibility of national parks to various nightlife options per capita. New York's strong performance is attributed to factors such as tying for first place in restaurants per capita with California, Florida, and Texas, and also for marinas per capita with Florida, Connecticut, Maryland, and Massachusetts.
