U.S. News Survey Highlights Traditional Habits Over Biohacking for Healthy Aging
A recent U.S. News & World Report survey of 63 health experts, including medical doctors, longevity specialists, and dietitians, has identified consistent physical activity, a nutrient-dense diet, and high-quality sleep as the most effective habits for healthy aging. The survey, conducted for the second time, coincides with September being Healthy Aging Month. Experts largely favored these traditional approaches over biohacking methods. Only 26% of experts considered intermittent fasting effective for healthy aging, and 31% stated that none of the listed biohacking methods, including peptide use, were beneficial for longevity. The survey also noted the increasing prevalence of biohacking, where individuals self-experiment to optimize their biology for health and performance.
