Severe Storms and Flooding Threaten Wisconsin and Iowa
A series of severe storms has been impacting the central United States, with tornadoes and large hail causing significant damage in Wisconsin and Iowa. On Tuesday evening, tornadoes and baseball-sized hail were reported, leading to damaged buildings and at least one home destroyed. The storm system is part of a multi-day outbreak stretching from the southern Plains to the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes region. Power outages have been reported, with over 62,000 in Michigan and 20,000 in Wisconsin. Flooding is also a concern, particularly in the Great Lakes area, where rivers are running high due to heavy rainfall and snowmelt. A Level 2 of 4 threat of flash flooding is in place for parts of the Upper Midwest.
