Philadelphia Museums Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary with Major Art Exhibition
Philadelphia's leading art institutions, the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), are collaborating on a major exhibition titled 'A Nation of Artists' to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. The exhibition will feature over 1,000 works, including paintings, photographs, sculptures, and decorative arts, highlighting the diversity of American art. The show will include iconic pieces such as Charles Willson Peale's portrait of George Washington and works by artists like Barkley L. Hendricks and Georgia O'Keeffe. The exhibition aims to reflect on America's complex history and cultural diversity.
