Argentina introduced a digital nomad visa in 2022, officially named the Residencia Transitoria como Nómada Digital, which allows remote workers to live in Buenos Aires for up to one year. This visa is designed for foreigners from visa-exempt countries who work remotely for clients or employers based outside Argentina. It grants an initial 180-day stay, extendable once for another 180 days, totaling a maximum of 360 days. A key feature is that foreign-sourced income is not taxed in Argentina under this status. While there is no official minimum income requirement, applicants are generally expected to demonstrate around $2,000 to $2,500 per month from foreign sources, supported by contracts, client letters, and six months of consistent bank statements.
