Australian Mother Delivers Rare Identical Quadruplets, Highlighting Medical Marvel
An Australian woman has given birth to extremely rare, naturally conceived identical quadruplet daughters. The babies, named Emily, Harriet, Alexa, and Catherine, were delivered by elective caesarean at 28 weeks and four days gestation at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. This rare occurrence involves all four babies sharing one placenta, having split from a single fertilized egg. The parents, Jenitar Sau and Jortham Na'amoana, now have a total of eight children, as the quadruplets join their four other siblings. The birth of these quadruplets is considered a medical marvel due to the rarity of naturally conceived identical quadruplets.
