Vicksburg Native Levi Wyatt Dies in Car Crash, Impacting Local Community
Levi Wyatt Jr., a 23-year-old native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and former standout football player, tragically died in a car crash. His death was confirmed by family members on social media. Wyatt had recently graduated from Jackson State University and was known for his impressive football career, which began at Vicksburg High School and continued at Holmes County Central. He earned a football scholarship to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and later played for McNeese State University, where he received 2024 All-Southland Conference second-team honors. Wyatt concluded his college career at Jackson State University, contributing to the Tigers' successful 2025 season. Earlier this year, he declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. Wyatt is survived by his family, who reside in Vicksburg.
