Philadelphia Man Charged with Multiple Felonies in Saquon Barkley Home Break-in
Jabir Parker, a Philadelphia man, has been charged with multiple felonies in connection with an attempted break-in at the home of Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, along with two other burglaries. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office filed charges including burglary, conspiracy to burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and criminal use of a communications facility. Parker was arrested by the Lower Merion Police Department with assistance from FBI SWAT, Pennsylvania State Police, Philadelphia Police Department, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office. Prosecutors allege that Parker stole jewelry valued at nearly $800,000 and a home safe. Barkley and his family were reportedly home during the attempted burglary on July 18 but were unharmed. Parker appeared before a judge, where his bail was set at $1 million, and he was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
