Fire in Encino ADU Injures 70-Year-Old Man, Cause Unknown
A fire broke out in an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) in Encino, California, injuring a 70-year-old man. The incident occurred on Friday night on the 17000 block of Martha Street. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene at approximately 9:49 p.m. Upon arrival, the first engine reported light smoke emanating from the converted garage. Firefighters quickly located and extinguished a small contents fire. The injured man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
