U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson to Present Commemorative Check at Carrie P. Meek Entrepreneurial Education Center Historical Marker Unveiling
Miami Dade College is set to unveil a historical marker honoring former U.S. Rep. Carrie P. Meek at the Carrie P. Meek Entrepreneurial Education Center in Liberty City. The ceremony, scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday at 6300 NW 7th Avenue, Miami, will be a public event attended by local leaders, elected officials, educators, students, alumni, and community residents. U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson, a Democrat representing Miami Gardens, will present a commemorative check to support ongoing community-focused programs at the center. The Meek Center serves as a key outreach hub, offering curriculum focused on entrepreneurship, technology, business-related fields, vocational training, and overall community development. This dedication reflects on Congresswoman Meek's extensive advocacy for education and economic mobility throughout her career.
