Senators Warner and Kaine Applaud Virginia Priorities in Bipartisan Appropriations Legislation
Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine have expressed their approval of the bipartisan appropriations legislation passed by Congress, which funds federal programs and supports new military facilities under the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Energy, and Department of Defense. The legislation includes significant funding for Virginia, such as $165 million for the Appalachian Regional Commission, over $131 million for military construction, and $86.4 billion for veterans' affairs. The bill also supports infrastructure projects, including $26 million for ship maintenance in Portsmouth and $615 million for nuclear physics research at the Jefferson Lab.
