Karpathy notes that everyday users often focus on AI's quirks and limitations, while power users recognize the advanced capabilities of newer models. This divide is exacerbated by the technical nature of AI advancements, which are more appealing to users with specific technical needs. Karpathy's observations suggest that these two groups are 'speaking past each other,' with differing perceptions of AI's potential and limitations.
