Ann Simpson, Wyoming Arts Advocate and Senator's Wife, Passes Away at 94
Ann Simpson, a prominent figure in Wyoming known for her contributions to the arts and her role as the wife of former U.S. Senator Al Simpson, has died at the age of 94. Ann passed away peacefully at the Cody Regional Health Spirit Hospice House. She was celebrated for her dedication to the arts, notably through the creation of the Ann Simpson Artmobile, which aimed to bring art to children across Wyoming. Ann was a steadfast supporter of her husband during his political career and was recognized for her role in stabilizing and supporting him. The couple was deeply involved in Wyoming's cultural and educational institutions, contributing significantly to the University of Wyoming and the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Ann's passing follows that of her husband, Al Simpson, who died in 2025.
