United Nations World Food Programme Invites Applications for Climate Innovation Accelerator in Latin America and the Caribbean
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator, in partnership with the Adaptation Fund, has launched the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA) 2026. This initiative invites organizations with innovative climate adaptation solutions to apply for support to enhance resilience, improve food security, and assist vulnerable communities in responding to climate change. The program specifically targets solutions for implementation in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Peru. Applications are open to established legal entities, including for-profit companies, non-profit organizations, social businesses, and NGOs, that have a presence in at least one of these three countries. The WFP is seeking innovations that are beyond the idea or early pre-seed stage and demonstrate a credible pathway toward implementation and scale.
