Ride with GPS Introduces Wildfire Layer and Waiver Functionality for Safer Bikepacking
Ride with GPS has launched two new features aimed at enhancing safety and convenience for bikepacking enthusiasts. The first feature, the Wildfire Layer, provides real-time updates on active fire perimeters across the U.S. and Canada, refreshed every hour. This tool is designed to help cyclists plan their routes around current and historical fire zones, thereby avoiding dangerous conditions and poor air quality. The second feature is a waiver functionality tailored for clubs, shops, and event organizers. This tool simplifies the process of ensuring that all participants have signed the necessary legal waivers, reducing the administrative burden and potential liability for organizers. The waiver system allows for both foundational and event-specific waivers, which can be managed digitally, streamlining the process for both organizers and participants.
